Candace Gordon LLB – Case Manager, Work and Income Rotorua When Candace came to the Rotorua Chamber's Straight 2 Work programme, she had just completed her Law Degree, and was eager to put her new found knowledge to practical use.   She was highly intelligent, and articulate, but had been turned down for over a dozen jobs.  The Chamber interviewed her, found out what her strengths were, and revamped her CV and Interview Skills and gave her the tools necessary to take that extra step.   Before long Candace interviewed for the position of Case Manager at Work and Income...Candace was informed within a fortnight that she was successful   Since March 2008, and is relishing the opportunity to utilize those skills learnt, to pursue her love for Law. ..   In March 2010, Candace was seconded to Child Youth and Family as a solicitor for the Bay of Plenty, something she is relishing.  "the role is a big one, and the caseload is large, but I am very excited about the role" says Candace.   “The Straight2Work programme was a great way to gain knowledge about what employers are looking for in potential employees, increase confidence and self esteem, whilst being in a care free/no pressure environment with other professionals in the same boat as yourself - having skills and/or education but struggling to find sustainable employment that suits you"   Candace Gordon Case Manager Work and Income Rotorua
	Jayme Ashley-Tunstall - Bathroom Warehouse Rotorua Online Sales As the latest addition to the team at Bathroom Warehouse Rotorua, Jayme Ashley-Tunstall is relishing the opportunity to hone her customer service skills, and now newly acquired online sales skills. Responsible for The Bathroom Warehouse’s highly successful Trademe sales, Jayme monitors sales, co-ordinates deliveries and payments for all purchases online, and with the help of directors Justine and Jared Sherwood, Jayme is now looking to relocate to the Tauranga office – to keep up with the high demand they are currently experiencing. Jayme is thankful to the Chamber for their help in identifying her highly transferrable people, customer service and computer skills and by liaising with the Bathroom Warehouse in finding the right candidate for the job.
